The Rapids has just been awarded “excellence” status by external auditors. Quest is the leisure Industry’s accreditation scheme managed on behalf of Sport England. It uses mystery visits as well as an official auditing process.
Quest is a great process that enables continual improvement and highlights areas where we can improve. It directly relates to how Valley Leisure manages the centre and helps ensure that we are providing the very best service for our customers. It focuses on management issues covering Operations, Customers, Staffing, Business Planning and Strategic Development.
The Rapids has now been accredited for 8 years and was previously scored at 76% putting it in the highly commended section. Following the recent audit process the leisure centre has been assessed at 85%, an increase of 9% and placing The Rapids in the excellence category, currently rating us in the top 5% of centres in the country.
Quest assessor Steve Hawker quoted “The Centre demonstrates a very impressive commitment to delivering high quality active recreation opportunities that impact on the health and well being of the local community. The culture of the organisation embraces quality and customer service excellence.”
